We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Big Bear 4-H Chapter, right here in the heart of the San Bernardino Mountains! After months of planning, community outreach, and excitement behind the scenes, we’re officially opening our doors—and we couldn’t be more excited to begin this journey with you.

A Homegrown Mission

Big Bear 4-H is more than a club—it’s a movement rooted in community, growth, and opportunity. Leading the way is Rebecca Hinton, a proud Big Bear local and former 4-H youth member who is bringing her passion full circle. What began as a childhood experience of caring for animals and learning life skills has now turned into a mission to empower a new generation of Big Bear youth.

What’s Ahead

From animal care and gardening to creative arts, coding, leadership development, and outdoor adventures, Big Bear 4-H will offer hands-on experiences that help youth build real-world skills, confidence, and lasting friendships.

We’re starting small—but thinking big. Here’s just a glimpse of what’s to come:

  • Weekly club meetings and seasonal programs
  • Community service opportunities
  • Local events and family-friendly activities
  • Youth-led projects and leadership development
  • A welcoming space for all kids, regardless of background or experience

A Community Effort

Big Bear 4-H is made possible through local volunteers, mentors, families, and supporters like you. Whether you’re a parent looking for enrichment opportunities, a local business hoping to get involved, or a young person ready to try something new—we want you to be part of this exciting new chapter.

Let’s Grow Together

Thank you for being part of the beginning. We’re planting the seeds of something truly special here in Big Bear—and we can’t wait to watch it grow.

Stay tuned for updates, event announcements, and ways to get involved.
